Applewood Cottage

Applewood is perched on the edge of the deep forest overlooking miles of undisturbed virgin wilderness.

This truly charming studio A-frame is perfect for that quiet weekend in a remote cottage in the woods!

Set slightly above the cottage is a private outdoor campfire surround, exclusively for our Applewood cottage guests.  From that vantage point, the deep-forest view includes a glimpse of big Palomar telescope domes far across the mountain divide – and the deep-sky view of magnificent heavens far across the celestial divide.

Indoors, you’ll find this newly remodeled, heritage abode, has a double bed in the open A-frame loft.  In living space directly below the loft, there is a cozy couch / futon bed combo - opposite a quaint isinglass wood burning stove (firewood included).  The spacious bathroom has a large shower and plenty of elbow room.  

Applewood comes with all the usual amenities you expect at Baileys, including a full kitchen, TV, VCR, DVD, stereo, and propane BBQ on the patio.  And for that total getaway experience, there is also no phone - or cell coverage for that matter - but we do have free WiFi.

Pricing for the cottage is based on the number of persons in your group and the duration of your stay.  Discounts are available for three or more nights.
