~ Scrap Book Retreats at Bailey's! ~
For ages now the Bailey House has hosted groups of friends. 

And nowadays many friends arrive with rolling carts of pictures, colored paper, punches, supplies - and smiles!

   "Each Time I Come Here - It's Just like Going Home"           
Over the last decade we've created a special retreat package just for Scrap-Book groups. 

 It includes lodging in Bailey House (formally Palomar Hotel) and use of an adjacent, large, well lighted and   appointed crafting room known as the   Carriage House.
 
So we celebrate the new year with good  wishes from Palomar Mountain and greetings to everyone in our crafting community, via our annual newsletter below!

This year we're welcoming many new scrap-bookers to our  family of friends  that craft here on the mountain.

Plus we're saying goodbye to some that have been with us from the very beginning.

With the help of our many experts, a bulletin board has news on the latest goodies to hit the market and other items of interest.   

We're very excited about this and we can't wait to share it with you all!

Keep in mind you have the benefit of two fully equipped kitchens, outside BBQs and complimentary coffee and tea at your fingertips.

We can also arrange for Vandy Cher, our favorite local masseuse, to help you work out those stressful knots and restore you to your best self, helping you to get the most out of your getaway weekend - right there in Bailey House.

Take a break from the crafting table and explore our beautiful valley here on Palomar with Matt Bailey.

Matt is an accomplished outdoorsman and sport-hiker, and he knows well the area's history, flora and fauna.

His degree in Wildlife Management and Forest Conservation helps give you a new appreciation of our special heritage upon this oasis in the sky.

Matt is available for private or group guided hikes and historical tours tailored to the abilities of his clients.

A new addition to our place is our recently restored Old Oak Cottage which, along with our ever-popular Cedars Cottage, is available for a smaller more intimate gathering of scrap booking friends.

These charming and well appointed cottages sleep four persons each,
are equipped with full kitchens and             

both are within walking distance of the Bailey House.  We will provide you with crafting tables and chairs as well.

Please join us for as we say farewell to our long time friend Angela.  She will be hosting her last mountain retreat after 10 years coming up to Bailey's. 

There will be a casual buffet luncheon on the Bailey House porch on the Sunday of her next retreat. 

Angela has brought so many girls here over the years that we thought it would be best to get the word out with your help. 

So any of you out there who know this fabulous woman please bring a friend and get up here to say Bon Voyage!

We offer an all inclusive four day (Thursday - Sunday) Crafter's Package to professionals and friend-groups alike.

As is our custom, with the New Year we are now taking reservations for 2011 - AND we still have a handful of openings in 2010 - so please feel free to contact us for more information or to make a reservation.

 We are proud to be a family owned and operated business which has been in continuous operation here on Palomar Mountain for over one hundred year twenty-two years.
